PART I: The most instagrammable places in Zell am See-Kaprun by fraebitude

Of course, there are many beautiful, praised and highly frequented places like the Sigmund-Thun-Gorge, the highwater reservoirs, the Klammsee or the Kitzsteinhorn glacier in the Zell am See-Kaprun area. But if you want to discover something extraordinary away from the mainstream and experience the locals' favourite places, then you've come to the right place. Perfect for recharging your batteries and of course beside this these spots are also extremely instagrammable :D

ENJOY…

an electric boat tour on lake Zell with a glass of sparkling wine & chilly sound

With a view of the Schmitten and the Kitzsteinhorn, sail as captain over the lake Zell. Take the rudder yourself and sail to the best view. It will definitely be worth it!

Near the Grand Hotel Zell am See there are several boat rentals for electric boats or if you prefer a more sporty approach, you can also rent a pedal boat and cool off in the lake in between. For an even better experience you should have cold drinks and a small snack with you.

Or you can choose a destination and drive to the beach club on the other side of the lake to Thumersbach. Delicious ice specialities & cool drinks are waiting for you. If you like it a bit more extravagant, you can enjoy the best sushi in town there. On top of that the Beachclub has the most beautiful terrace at the Zeller See,

so let's go!

EXPERIENCE...

a short hiking to the Plettsaukopf reservoir with a marvellous view of the lake Zell

This reservoir at Schmitten is one of the most beautiful and easiest to reach viewpoints over Zell am See.

The small lake not only offers a great view for fantastic pictures, but also a lot of benches and swings invite you to stay longer. Children will also get their money's worth with a water adventure playground.

The place is perfect to take some Instagram pictures to show off for those who stayed at home.

In summer you should not forget your swimming gear ;) On a hot summer day this is the perfect refreshment after the short ascent.

The best place to start hiking is from the valley station CityXpress in Zell am See and then just follow the signs.

The trail (approx. 1 h) is also suitable for inexperienced hikers and if you want to make it even more comfortable, just take the gondola to the middle station ;) and then walk down to the reservoir for only 10 minutes.

I hope there are a few advices for you to make your holiday in Zell am See-Kaprun unforgettable!

Yours Fraebitude
